Mona Foster is a young, ambitious teenager determined to escape a life of poverty and shame. Being the first person in her family to earn a high school diploma, she has set the tone.

However, her prominent future becomes so nebulous that she turns to the streets for guidance and support. She soon realizes that this life of fast money and frivolous behaviors has not only plagued her, but other family members as well, and she is suffering the same issues that were handed down from previous generations.

Despite their failed attempts to overcome, Mona is determined to triumph once again. The question is, can she turn this negative situation around? Or, will she remain Blinded?
